"Move over War Horse, this polar puppet is magic."

The Guardian

One night when she's fast asleep, Tilly is visited by an enormous snowy white bear. It has a big black tongue and a yawn as big as your head. But Tilly's not scared.

Looking after a bear is exhausting stuff. Given half a chance they'll eat you out of house and home, make a big mess everywhere they go, and fall asleep while you're talking to them. Tilly tries very hard to teach her mysterious new friend manners, but things don't always go as planned. Luckily for Tilly however, the warm furry cuddles are worth it.

'The Bear' is a heart-warming and humorous wintry tale where Briggs' inimitable down-to-earth sensibility meets the dream-like magic of the imagination. Funny and tender, quiet and noisy, gross and cute, beautiful and playful, 'The Bear' will enchant young and old.

From the team that brought you the hugely successful 'Father Christmas', Pins and Needles are delighted to be bringing to life another of Raymond Briggs' much-loved storybooks.

With dazzling puppetry, delicious music, dreamy storytelling, delectable design, and dozens of laughs, 'The Bear' will be an unforgettable experience for the whole family and is a perfect introduction to theatre for little people.

The Bear will be playing at the Mac Birmingham this Christmas
