Salisbury Playhouse​

Wiltshire Creative's 2026 production of Romeo and Juliet was the centrepiece of the Salisbury International Festival 2026 and celebrated the 50th anniversary of Salisbury Playhouse. Rather than a conventional staging, it was conceived as an immersive promenade production that led audiences through backstage areas, the foyer, auditorium, and surrounding streets while listening via headphones. The production also featured Stage 65 Youth Theatre and more than 100 community participants alongside the professional company
